Henry Ferguson był irlandzkim inżynierem i wynalazcą. Żyjący w latach 1884-1960, już w wieku 25 lat wzbił się w powietrze na własnoręcznie wykonanym jednopłacie ? nie dokonał tego wcześniej żaden irlandczyk.
Ferguson przyczynił się do rozwoju ciągnika rolniczego, zaprojektował i zbudował nowy rodzaj pługa oraz trzypunktowy zaczep do ciągników.
Stworzył także innowacyjny wówczas samochód R5 z napędem na cztery koła, elektrycznymi szybami, antypoślizgowymi hamulcami tarczowymi oraz nadwoziem typu hatchback.
Następnie Ferguson stworzył samochód wyścigowy (także z napędem na cztery koła) ? Ferguson P99, który startował w wyścigu Formuły 1.
Na cześć wynalazcy Harrego Fergusona w jego rodzinnym mieście Growell postawiono rzeźbę przedstawiającą sylwetkę wynalazcy.
Na wyspie Isle of Wright, w Kings Manor znajduje się muzeum poświęcone wynalazcy: ?Ferguson Family Museum?.
