Jednocześnie, ze względu na wysoką temperaturę, topniejący po zimie śnieg powoduje lokalne powodzie. Na terenie Brytyjskiej Kolumbii w okolicach rzek poziom wody niebezpiecznie wzrasta. Tutaj zapowiadane deszcze są niestety powodem do zmartwień.
