W tym roku na ochronę przed szkodami od zwierzyny Lasy Państwowe wydadzą 158 mln zł (jest to 60% wszystkich kosztów przeznaczonych na ochronę lasu), w ubiegłym roku było to 23 mln zł mniej, czyli 135 mln zł (co stanowiło 74% wszystkich kosztów ochrony lasu). Największe wydatki poniosą Regionalne Dyrekcje w Szczecinie, Szczecinku, Katowicach, Wrocławiu i Białymstoku.
W lasach naszego kraju będziemy mieli 19,5 tys. ha nowoogrodzonej powierzchni leśnej. Wydatek na tegoroczne grodzenia to 94 mln zł. W tamtym roku ogrodzono ponad 18 tys. ha, co kosztowało 78 mln zł. Zwiększy się też powierzchnia chemicznie zabezpieczanych upraw, z 56 tys. ha w roku 2014 do 59 tys. ha w roku obecnym.
