12 października 2022 r. w lesie koło Opola Lubelskiego (woj. lubelskie) około godziny 9:00 doszło do wypadku podczas ścinki drzew. W lesie przy ulicy Przemysłowej spadająca gałąź uderzyła 44 letniego mężczyznę pomagającego sąsiadowi w ścince. Poszkodowany odniósł rany głowy, ręki i nogi.
Na miejscu zjawiły się służby ratunkowe, a poszkodowanego odtransportowano do szpitala w Lublinie śmigłowcem LPR. Wprawdzie nie był to stricte wypadek podczas pracy w lesie, ale zdarzenie pokazuje, że zasady BHP obowiązują zawsze i każdego.
